Atheists don't like it when Christians insist that they learn about Christ, but then atheists insists to everyone that God doesn't exist.
Christians don't like it when Atheists pick on their religion, but then they pick on Islam instead of defending their faith.
Muslims don't like it when people call them violent, then instead of proving them wrong, they get agitated and begin to be violent because they are annoyed.
Everyone wants their faith and belief to be respected, but everyone don't respect the other person's belief.

Atheists always link religion with violent wars, but they get annoyed when people link atheists to communists.
Christians are annoyed when people take their bible verses out of context, but they have no problem doing it to the Muslim's Qu'ran.
Same goes with Muslims.

Atheists don't believe in God, yet they answer questions about God.
Christians are not Muslims, yet they answer questions about Islam.

Atheists always insist on abolishing religion so we all could progress, yet they waste their time saying God doesn't exist instead of doing real progress.
Christians claim the people who murder because they heard the voice of God are simply crazy, not a real Christian, but they have no problem calling the terrorists muslims.

I am a disgruntled Muslim.
People see Muslims bombing stuff in TV, they think all Muslims are terrorists.
I insist them to judge a religion instead of the followers,
they insist we should judge the followers because they are the product of the religion.
So, this is actually to everyone who said that, this is how I see you guys.
My personal opinion.

First of all, there are terrorists everywhere on this planet...one that instills intense fear. Religion has nothing to do with how people behave. It's just how they are and it's been that way since the beginning of time. I just don't believe everything is based on religious beliefs. Science has always had to find some logical reason as to why people behave the way they do. If people would just behave the way they should, then politics and religion wouldn't get so much attention. Can't you just walk away and quit allowing such stupid stuff take up your brain space or are you just bored? I am who I am because I am.
How about:
I rolled out this morning...kids had the morning news show on
Bryant Gumbel was talking about the fighting in Lebanon
Some senator was squawking about the bad economy
It's gonna get worse you see we need a change in policy
There's a local paper rolled up in a rubber band
One more sad story's one more than I can stand
Just once, how I'd like to see the headline say
Not much to print today can't find nothing bad to say
Because...
Nobody robbed a liquor store on the lower part of town
Nobody OD'd, nobody burned a single building down
Nobody fired a shot in anger...nobody had to die in vain
We sure could use a little good news today
I'll come home this evening...I'll bet that the news will be the same
Somebody takes a hostage...somebody steals a plane
How I wanna hear the anchor man talk about a county fair
And how we cleaned up the air...how everybody learned to care

A lot of generalizations here.
I don't get annoyed when you link atheists to communists. Communism wasn't really a bad idea, it just got perverted (much like Christianity) by the greedy and power-seeking. I'm no communist, but we certainly should do more for the less advantaged and less for the corporations who are putting Americans out of work.
Just for the record: The only time I get annoyed by Christians is when they claim they are being "oppressed and persecuted" by our "Liberal society." What a crock of sh*t. What they're really whining about is they're trying to persecute everyone else by forcing their doctrines into laws and the Constitution keeps slapping them down. I also get a little tired of being told I'm stupid, ignorant or foolish because I don't believe in gods.
I don't necessarily want to abolish religion, but yes, I believe we are never going to mature as a species until we get the religious fanatics of every faith under control, and get away from mythology in general. Look at the debate in this country over "Intelligent Design," which is Creationism in sheep's clothing. It's the way for the religionists to get the bible into publicly-funded schools. We are the only country on the planet where this debate is even taking place. It's shameful. Religion works very hard against science, because if there are scientific explanations for everything, they can't point to a phenomenon and say "Behold! The power of God," and they can't afford to lose that sort of influence.
And answering questions about gods is my way of fostering debate and getting people to think. The free exchange of ideas, and the right to disagree, is what keeps our democracy lively.

That sums up a major part of the prophecy of the Old Testament. The major religions were predicted to have a major struggle over their religious beliefs. One of the predicted events included the takeover of Jerusalem, followed by a war that would return the land to the previous owners.
The "house of Jacob," the "house of Israel," and the "house of Judah," would be the ones fighting. The "house of Judah" are the people who possess Jerusalem at the time of the takeover. The "house of Israel" are the people that take over control of Jerusalem. They do it with the support of the "house of Jacob."
(Isaiah 7 thru 14)
They all are predicted to have one little problem. The "root of Jesse" involves a mindset that a particular group of people would believe that they are "right about God," and develop a kind of "ownership of God." They do this by claiming to be a certain group of people who are predicted in the Old Testament.
Of course each group would really have to think that it was right, and everyone else was wrong. None of them realized that they were all right, to a point, but all wrong regarding their ownership.
No one "owns God," or the "Messiah."
When he shows up, he will explain that in terms that will eventually be understood.
Regards,
Chris

Julia has the thumbs up.
Everyone your talking about do not have the same beliefs.
I'm a christian, but I don't think or feel like you have identified me to. You have put everyone in a category and said they all think and react the same and that is just not true. It dose take time to grow not everyone that is a christian including myself is in the same place, we all still have things to learn and always will.
God leaves room for mistakes so we need to also.

Do I sense enlightenment in your question?
(Must be my imagination.)
Everything in your question is theoretical and therefore irrelevant in common practice. As far as I know, only PhD's pattern their lives after current theories, the rest of us poor schmucks have to rely on such things as common sense and whatever is readily at hand in the physical world.
Rise above the theories and take note of the real world. The "schmucks" make up 99% of the population and we control everything. Our actions tell us EXACTLY what we're willing to do to survive.
Muslims kill people.
Christians need converts.
Politicians need votes.
It's simple. You don't need anything more than 9-year-old level of philosophy to figure out the world.

"Everyone wants their faith and belief to be respected, but everyone don't respect the other person's belief."
Really now - EVERYONE?
Guess you don't know everyone then. I respect where respect is earned - regardless of religion, skin color, job, educational level, socioeconomic level, etc. Doesn't particularly matter to me - it's the person you show to the world that matters.
While agree with the vast majority of your post, the sweeping generalizations are, well, meaningless.

"Atheists always link religion with violent wars, but they get annoyed when people link atheists to communists."
because my friend, people kill for their imaginary gods, but nobody has ever killed for atheism. Stalin was an atheist, but he killed because he had a rather warped ideology. This is why that particular bit irks me.

Are you willing to accept the true history of christianity?
See: http://one-faith-of-god.org/final_testament/end_of_darkness/evil/evil_0010.htm
If so, then you'll see Christianity was never founded by Jesus or his apostles, but Paul of Tarsus (St. Paul) and the very Jewish High Priests who had him crucified.
It is a false religion, a profoundly evil religion and the single reason so much war and hatred has occurred in the last 2000 years.
Now, just because someone believes in the true religion of Jesus and the truth of history does not make them an atheist- it makes them a realist.
You need to be careful about your distinctions my friend.

Thanks for being so honest and straightforward
At least you have guts to tell a spade a spade !
We all have to understand one thing that we can not advocate our faith, by finding faults in other faiths... and unfortunately this is what is happening here in YA...by most of the people
