May I suggest you see your doctor, and have a full check up including blood pressure, blood & urine tests.
You could have any number of conditions, that cause fatigue such as anemia, through to other major condtions. We'd be only second guessing.
Good luck

We can feel shattered not because of insufficient sleep, but because we have insufficient stimulation during the day, both mentally and physically.
Let me ask you a question,
"What do you do during the day that leaves you feeling stimulated and alive?"
If the answer is nothing, or not much, then I might suggest that you look into taking a new direction in your life, try and find something that gives you a buzz or a challenge.
I'm a Life Coach and I meet many people with poorly stimulated lives. Can I suggest is that you find a life coach and try out their free session, most offer them, you have little to lose and you might be surprised what you can gain.
Regards
John

It's hard to know with such little amounts of information, but, Do you snore? Some times people (especially slightly older males who snore can suffer from something called Sleep Apnoea, when they actually temporarily stop breathing during their sleep.
if you had this, you would think you had had a full nights sleep, but in reality you may have been disturbed several times in the night.
There are sleep clinics all over the UK - ask your GP to refer you, it might not be a mental health problem at all YET - it WILL be if you don't get some good sleep!

go to your g.p - at this time of year people experience a kind of melancholy.... winter has dragged on and there has been little sunshine,. it could just be a case of winter blues or anaemia but worth getting a check up to be on the safe side. have you tried a little sport? just a brisk walk once a day for 20 mins can have a very positive effect, or swimming or getting on a bike can all raise your endorphines which makes you feel good, gives you more energy and gives a better quality of sleep.

Is it all year round or just in the winter, because it may be due to a lack of sunlight, ie seasonally affected disorder.
In any case, a litlle moderate exercise a few times a week can realy do wonders if you are able to and dont already.
Hope you are able to find a way to break through it too

Do you snore...? Could be that you have sleep apnea see this website for info. Sleep apnea prevents you from getting a restful nights sleep and leaves you feeling exhausted.
However, your tiredness may be due to many things and I suggest you pay your GP a visit. Perhaps you are suffering from the male menopause or depression. Pure conjecture on my behave so be safe and go and get yourself an MOT at the doctors...your worth it.

You may be depressed, this is a common side effect.
also another cause could be low metabolism, i have an under-active thyroid and this causes me to be extremely tried.
Go to the docs and get them to do blood tests done if you think this may be the case.

There are a lot of reasons why this could be happening. You really should go to a doctor for a check-up.
