Popular culture.

Almost everything about popular culture goes against Christian (and Catholic) moral teachings.

Popular culture is constantly bombarding us with intensive, not-so-forcible indoctrination, aimed at setting up worldly convictions and attitudes.

Popular culture comes at us from all directions including books, movies, TV, songs, advertisements, video games and even the Internet.

A few of the these immoral values include:
- Lust and Sex (outside of marriage)
- A disrespect for God and religion
- A disrespect for lawful authority
- A disrespect for our human dignity
- Envy, greed and consumerism
- Anger and Violence
- Drug abuse including smoking and alcohol
- Vanity, outside is more important than inside
- Prejudice and hate

With love in Christ.

Good question.

The major problem of Catholic moral living is Catholic belong to the single largest economic entity in the world for the last sixteen hundred years, yet it refuses to publish complete global accounts of all its property, all its gold, all its diamonds and investments.

Why? The Vatican and the Pope are either Good or Evil. Nothing in-between.

If the Catholic Church is truly a force for good, then why not publish open and honest accounts for all its churches throughout the world? What is it trying to hide? No excuse can possibly be considered spiritually enlightened or moral.

On the other hand if the Catholic Church is the supreme force of evil, then it makes sense if cares not to disclose its secret wealth.
Why save the world, when you're the ones trying to keep it as hell.

The Catholic teaching on salvation is more stringent than other Christian denominations. For us it is a process of perseverance through faith, hope and love. We always have to be in a state of grace. Nonetheless, we do not consider this doctrine a problem because true Catholics know that this teaching comes from God.
For most Protestant denominations, however, it is by "grace that we are saved not by works so no one can boast." Their concept of salvation is much easier to attain.

Peace and every blessing!

The BIGGEST problem with this sort of living, is that it brings a FALSE set of security. They think that if they live better than other people, that God will accept them by doing so. or that they will have favor with God by going through His Mother or by other Saints. The Bible clearly says otherwise. It says that we are all sinners and that the wages of sin is death. No Church or behavior will change this fact. The Catholic Church also preaches things which go against God's Word, the Bible. They have a form of Godliness, but deny the power thereof, which is the Holy Spirit. It is the Holy Spirit, God in us, which saves us and changes us. Our changed lives is the true evidence of what we truly believe. There will be a powerful transformation, not some wimpy weak prayers that are are reputious with no authority. Jesus said that we MUST be BORN AGAIN! And the Bible teaches us how. The Catholic Church does not teach this which l;eads people to hell instead of Heaven with their false doctrines with false hopes. They teach that He is up in Heaven while Jesus taught us that it is possible that God can live in us and that He wants to have a personal realationship with Himself. By the way, the Catholic Church has persecuted real Christians in the past and I believe that they will again in the near future, after they merge with the one world government and the one world religion, which is descibed as the whore that rides the beast in the 17 and 18 Chapters of Revelation.

My advice to Catholics, come out of her while you can and my advice for others, STAY AWAY!

The biggest problem is that society teaches against everything the Church teaches.

The Church teaches LIFE....society teaches DEATH ( abortion is OK, life has no meaning and can be ended at anothers whim)

The Church teaches sex is sacred.....society says everyone has a right to have sex.

The Church teached modesty....society says it's OK to walk around half naked 'cause then you can get more sex.

The Church teaches modertaion....society says get whatever you can and as much as you can.

I could go on and on...you get the idea.

It's tough trying to live a moral life in this world. That is why it is so awesome we have the Sacraments to help strengthen us!

Basically, the biggest problem is trying to live according to true Catholic values when the secular world increasingly sees our faith as something odd.

The same as with any other denomination. We forget that we can't do it our way. We must do it Jesus' way. We are so religious that we forget how to be Christian.

there are no problems with the moral living, it's when people deviate from it - that's when problems happen.
