Hello everybody. Just to clear things up a little bit, I am from N. Jerz. Where I liveD the water was free. Anyway, I LOOOOOOOOOOVE showers. I love the way the hot water hits me and the way I feel so fresh and clean afterwards. But what I don´t understand, is why some, just some ´more well-off´ people (rich people) smell bad. For what reason should you smell bad when you can afford the hot water? Water is pretty much free, and it´s not that expensive using it for showers. It´s not like you are showering with cream, or chaaaaaaaampan. And soap, it´s not the 1860´s anymore viking or pirrrrrate, a bar of Dial does NOT cost that much. So what I am saying is to all the smelly & ripe & funky rich people (regardless over whether they are conservatives or liberals...you guys know who you are) is WHY don´tcha take a shower??? We all know you can afford it. What´s so wrong about a little bit of water??? Opinions please...

And not that I have to clear this up, but I know a PLEEENTY of ´less well-to-dos´ that smell pretty pungeant too. I am just asking why some rich people smell like that.

To Antoine and WTH I never said I had anything more to ask. That pretty much WAS my question. Just why not, take a shower, huh now. And I never said I was perfect. If I was perfect I wouldn´t NEED to take a shower or shave EVER. I just said that I like the water, and even if I was dirt poor I would find WAYS to take a shower atleast once a day. And colognes, no I don´t put too much of anything on. Maybe a spray before I go out to talk to some pretty ladies but that´s about it. I am just saying that there is nothing wrong with being clean and smelling nice; and I am just asking why there are some rich people who smell like the sweaty cheeks of a construction worker (that´s been a drinkin).

and Juanita, you are right. Nobody can force anybody to take a shower, unless they are at gunpoint (not SAYING it´s a good idea) but WE (us) have the right to say, GOTTTTTTTTTTTTDAAAAAANG ya stink.

I just came up with a new invention, Scratch and Sniff internet profile. Mine at this moment would smell like Carolina Herrera and then they would know that I keeps it pimpaliscious.

By the way, you know how sometimes there are homeless people shaving and washing up at a train station. I RESPEEEEEEEEEECT that. They don´t have enough money to pay rent, but they STILL want to look and smell good. That just shows their character is better than some, just some rich people.

To Phoenix, that´s the thing. I have trillions of quirks and shortcomings and character flaws and I admit that. So usually when somebody pointed out one or ten of them to me, (especially on answers) I accept that. I even apologize. Some people rich or poor would NEVER apologize. I can admit that I´m wrong or that I´m being too harsh. Can some other people do that too??

Ok countryhick Caos since you wanted to go there. Yes, some taxi drivers are RAAAAAAAAANK. Some middle easterners are SMEEEELLLY. Some middle-easterners smell like they came from the heavens because they are so fresh and clean. However, just cuz a convenience store owner smells bad to you, doesn´t make it worse than the (KKK members I will assume since I don´t want to put any more thought into this) others. So I will just assume that you read my name, put 1 and 3 together and assumed I am 7. In other words you are a biggot. Khaaaamallah khaaamallah you really really nice gentleman.

By the way, if anybody wants a free translation of Khaaaaaaaaaamallah Khaaaaaaaaaamallah it means (in Cockney accent) You have brought up a point that brings a lot of interest to me, and I would like to examine that. So sit down, have a cup of coffee and a cigarette, and thank you and COMME AGAIN to get chewed out for ´new´. That my friends is what Khaaaamallah means. Now you know, and knowing is half the battle. The real American Heroe. Cobra komes the bad guys run, G.I. Schmoe is therrrrrrre. a Khaaaamallah 1, a Khaaaaaaaamallah 2.

All smelly people need transportation to an island so the remainder of us aren't obliged to suffer from their disgusting habits.
It takes 15 minutes to shower and shave-max.
There is no excuse-it's just laziness.
The worst is when you're obliged to sit close to one of these-cinema or restaurant and you can't get away from the stink.
If your dog stank like them you'd have it put down.
They're filthy and you wonder about their other habits and the state of their homes.
Yuk.

Hey you are not alone, here in Chicago we have a smelly people problem too. But our smelly people usually drive Taxi's and keep the windows rolled up, own convience stores and their stench grows daily, or they live under a bridge. I have to admit the people who live under the bridges smell better than the taxi drivers.
My problem regarding odor is bad breath, now there is a problem that I see a lot from the well to do crowd. If they can't brush their teeth after every meal, then buy a box of breath mints!. Get stuck in a conversation with someone with bad breath, now that is really bad!

most people who experience bad smelling people try to find a gracious method to get their point across. yes, it is offensive but that person needn't be hurt in the process.

if you reminisce a bit you'll come to realize that everybody has quirks of one kind or another. and how many times has yours been pointed out to you? did it hurt?

I have friends who suffer from chronic halistosis and bromhidrosis. They do their best to get rid of them. Its a condition they cant help. Please understand that among the smelly people there are folks who really want to smell clean but arent able to.

Isn't it great to be perfect like you are? I am sure you rant will stir th rich persons who read Q&A to get right up and shower. But you know what I just can't stand those perfect people tht smell of loud perfumes...can we get rid of them too.

Perhaps they don't actually realise they're stinky. Maybe none of thier friends are "good" enough to actually tell them.

I have horses, therefore I stink often, sometimes I don't even notice it but people will say - phew you stink of horses, so I go for a shower.

Are you sure that's what you are asking ? How do you know they are well off? They could be having the same feeling about you. Ever wondered about that? I just have that feeling that you are not coming out and saying what you really want to say. Chin up.

Agreed. It's also unsanitary. Just 'cause Brad Pitt stinks doesn't mean it's cool.

If someone doesn't want to shower, who are we to force them? Showering is a personal choice.
