to make a serious relationship, is it important that i have to meet my bf's family and he has to meet my family, at least within 6 months of dating each other?

he never mentions if he wants to intro me to his family or hang out with his friends. We are always happy together.

If it is important to him that you meet them, then yes you must. It's not a bad thing. It will give you an idea what he comes from and how he may turn out to be. If you don't want him to meet your parents then he may wonder what you are hiding. The time frame is just what is comfortable to the both of you. get it over and done with.

Not within 6 months, I think 6 months is about the right time. Otherwise, they would know about all his girlfriends, if he showed them with in 1-3 months, and they'd be comparing you to them.

there is no set time frame for meeting the parents...the importance is working on the two of you...the parents can come at anytime...the parents are not the ones in this relationship...
