This one sounds like a collection agency.
They use an auto dialler system to ring your home, firstly, to check it is occupied. They will then try again, using auto dialler (this is like the best out of three thing) just to make sure the first call wasn't a fluke. If you have caller display don't lift it, let it ring.
Next off they will probably send a letter demanding loadsa money for the debt. If they do CHECK the name on the letter. As long as you haven't run up any debts, and not paid for them, then the debt could probably be for the previous occupier, or someone using your address as a way of getting credit.
You will then have to prove the dates you moved into the address, coz they won't believe you.
Now, some collection/debt agencies will still chase you for this money even if you insist it isn't yours coz, at the end of the day, they bought this outstanding debt form another company and want to get their money back.
Go to Citizens Advice (cheapest mehtod) or contact a Solicitor (more expensive method) and fight your case and get the agency, or original debt source, to prove YOU created the debt. They must have a physical record with a signature on in their system.
If you win make sure the agency provides proof that they have taken your name from the debtors register and keep that proof once you receive it coz these things have a habit of jumping up and biting you in the rear when you least expect it

A collections agency. You should probably fine out what they are calling for. If you know that you have no outstanding bills, answer and begin to try to clear your name. If it is not you they are looking for just let them know that.
