Who you are, is your soul. Your body is the vehicle for your soul. You also have a spirit which brings you life and influences your desires. Jesus said that one MUST be "Born Again" -- BEFORE one can even see the Kingdom of God. What does this mean? You need a new spirit, the Holy Spirit! It means that you need God's Holy Spirit living in you first. You may ask yourself, "How do I become "Born Again?" And also "Why do I want God's Spirit in me?"
First off, God's Spirit brings life. The fruit, or the result of the Holy Spirit living in you is love, joy, peace, goodness, patience, self control, kindness, gentleness, and everything else that is good, including eternal life.
The Bible says that if we turn from our sins and get baptized in the name of Jesus for the payment of our sins, then God will give us the gift of the Holy Ghost. He will teach and guide you. Once we receive the Holy Spirit, the Bible teaches us, how to grow so that we can keep the Spirit.
I hope that this answers your questions. I pray that you will find the Holy Spirit. Write me if you have anymore questions
Sincerely Yours, Pastor Jeff Ludin

Don't try to find a religion. Just try to find God. All the bad things people do in the name of religion are the sins of man. God is sinless. He will lead you down the right path. He will show you how being a good person at heart is the way to Him. And when you fail at that as we all do sometimes, He will forgive you . By His forgiveness, He will assure you of eternal life where you will always be with family and friends.
The best way to start is to have a talk with God. Tell him what's on your heart the same way you told us. Ask Him all your questions and trust that He will find away to let you know who He truly is and what are all the gifts He wants you to enjoy. Sometimes answers can come from the strangest places. Acid Zebra was right about life being wonderful and a miracle. But that is because there is a Deity watching us. He loves us and gives us all these things and He gives us each other so we can see Him in one another. I hope you find Him. And I hope everyone else does. God Bless.

You're looking for religion in the wrong places. If you think that it will provide peace and understanding - you'll be waiting for a while. Remember that economics, egos and power destroy nations in far greater numbers than any religion. Religion is used as an excuse - much like how nationalism is used.
As for God - stop asking why and start saying think you. Even with the flaws on this earth - it's still a pretty special place full of wonder and joy.

Ask God and you shall receive. Ask God for faith in the true God and ask Him to send you to the true Church. If He sees you are sincere He just might answer your prayer. If you are looking hard enough you might find it. I found it in the Catholic Church. Check it out. Look for a Catholic friend to bring you there. Take some classes, then if you like it ask for baptism and you are in. I can't recommend any other religion as I think the Catholic faith is the true religion. Watch EWTN on cable TV and see for yourself. I think it makes a lot of sense. It makes 100% sense to me and to many brilliant people. Many rich and famous good people were Catholic. The Catholics are trying to help save the world from self destruction. Maybe your mission is in this Church. It's never too late to try it out. You have nothing to lose and eternal happiness to gain. Good luck and God bless.

You know what, you don't need religion to have an eternal soul.
There is no right or wrong religion, maybe you haven't found the right one. I am personally a Christian, but I'm not too religious and I don't live by the bible. I live by my concious, I know wrong from right. I help elderly women move their furniture and set a good example for kids. The only way to make this place a better world, is to be a better person... And you don't need religion to help you with that. Follow your heart, and maybe one day you'll come across the right religion fit for you.

You can't find religon, religon finds you. There are millions of religons out there, ofcourse the most heard about are Christians, Catholics, Jews, Muslims. Religon hasn't destroyed nations, it's the people that have destroyed nations. Insecure people who can't accept other faiths, and that someone is different from them that they go out and make wars under the title of protecting their religon. I understand that there are many things going on in the world, but keep searching if you want to, you're bound to find your true beliefs. I won't point out a certain religon for you, that's not for me to decide but for you to discover. And what do you mean you can't find your soul in you? Your soul just needs to be awakned spirtually, find true happiness. And by the way, "true happiness and peace of mind " aren't easily found. You can either become an aithiest, or keep searching for a religon you think awakens you. Your choice, good luck man!!

The fact that you wish you felt something is in itself a calling. Baby steps. Right now you're being called to search.
You say, you just don't see it. Neither did Thomas, one of Jesus' disciples. Skepticism can be a very healthy thing.
Remember, faith isn't a feeling. Faith is a decision. You choose to believe. You choose not to believe.
Being a Catholic, I would like to invite you to attend Mass. Find a Catholic church in your town and check out the schedule. Typically, each Catholic church would offer many different times, with many different styles of music. Find one that fits your comfort level. Then just go. Sit there, listen. Look around. See if what these people represent is something you want.
Don't wait for a feeling. Start acting, and the feeling will find you.
God bless you in your journey of search! I will be praying for you!

Don't just look for a religion, Seek God!
God wants you to make the next move, Jesus already died for us now he wants us to seek him by Faith.
(Good ways to start) Read the bible 15 min's a day.
Start to visit some church's in your area and Pray, even pray that God leads you to the right church. Look into your own heart,God dose want you. (Everyone likes different types of Church's,I enjoy contemporary christian music so I go to an non- denominational church) you have to chose what is right for you.Remember everything Jesus taught us revolves around Love.
When you find a church Liston and follow along in you bible, make sure there teaching you right,If you have questions you should ask and you should feel Gods love in the people.

Maybe you don't NEED a religion. Maybe YOUR philosophy is as good as all these religions - maybe and probably it's better. Society and regilios groups would have you believe that organised religion is the only way. If you are a good person, you are doing just fine. I think I'm a good person too! I read "Conversations With God" last year. Really made me think about how I viewed the world/myself/everything and affirmed my belief in the religion of me.
You sound cool. Keep chilled.

Friend you can find peace in God, Acts 2:38-47 Tell us to repemt & be baptized in name of Jesus Christ & we will receive that peace on us which is the Holy Ghost. The reason you have not found peace, It that you have looked at every religion there is excpt the One & true & Faithfil one there is, & that is Through Jesus Christ, we don't have to scream out to Jesus, He can hear the faintest prayer or even see the thoughts of persons mind. But never think that once you find Jesus that satan will not work on you, He will, But now you will have Jesus to fight your battles for you, Friend, It has worked for me for 37 yrs.
