Look through the breeders section in the back of Cat Fancy magazine and see what looks closest to yours.

most cats are clasified as domestic short, medium or long hair,(DSH, DMH, or DLH) with a notation as to the coat color. Though there are breeds which many people can identify, without a pedigree there is no way to be sure.

with this statment there are books on cat breeds, just as there are books on dog breeds.

also you can go to www.dogbreedinfo.com/catbreed/catbreeds.htm and you will find a list of cat breeds.

just keep in mind that cat breeds have not been around as long as dog breeds. and the information may not have good pictures to show you.

In yahoo search but in cat breeds or cat breeders and will have to look at all the different types or you can put a question on here and we can give you answers to what we think the breed is or write a description of breed.
