Ex) you can't sit on the floor because you think microscopic bugs are going to eat you flesh and give you a disease. Or washing your hands from an experiment you did in biology class but can't eat because you still think its going to affect you, even when you were wearing gloves while doing the experiment.

Yeah, sounds like you're freaking out a bit there. If you want to stop this now before it gets worse you need to really make a decision to NOT let these little things bother you. The panic sets in when you start to dwell on a situation. If you choose to put it out of your mind the moment it enters and not sit and think about it, you will help yourself in getting over it.

When you're in a situation like that, take a step back, take a breath and think about it logically. For example: Have I ever heard of someone having their flesh eaten by microscopic bugs from sitting on the floor? Has it ever hurt me before? Has it ever hurt anyone I know?

Likely as you think about the answers to these questions you'll talk yourself out of the ridiculous thoughts and worries...

Don't allow this to take over your life, you are perfectly capable of battling through it and getting over these kinds of things.

All the best,

It sounds like you have OCD, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, you may want to see a Dr. It isn't uncommon and is physiological as well as a psychological condition. I take Valium mainly for anxiety and drug with-drawl but it also helps with uncontrollable phobias i have.

It sounds as though you may have OCD, obsessive compulsive disorder. It causes a lot of anxiety that is really unnecessary, because non of those things can really hurt you. Please seek some help, otherwise you might get worse and coming back to reality gets harder and harder. I hope this helps you.

Yes - seek help thru your medical provider or local mental health care facility for you are not "crazy" just held in bondage by your own thoughts.
