Wine!

Plato may have been wiser than he knew when he said, "Nothing more excellent or valuable than wine was ever granted by the Gods to man." Those of us who have come to enjoy the variety and tastes that wine have to offer can now look to red wines for greater health benefits. Recent studies show that drinking one glass of red wine every day may have certain health benefits. Research indicates that moderate red wine consumption may help protect against certain cancers and heart disease, and can have a positive effect on cholesterol levels and blood pressure.

The health effects of wine (and alcohol in general) are the subject of considerable ongoing study. In the USA, a boom in red wine consumption was touched off in the 1990s by '60 Minutes', and other news reports on the French paradox.

There have been many studies done that actually show wine can be beneficial to health. The FDA has suggested that one to two glasses of red wine per day might help reduce cholesterol and decrease the chances of cancer.[citation needed] Studies have shown that alcohol may benefit many bodily organs, including the heart and the brain. However, the benefits are available only when wine is taken in moderation as over consumption of alcohol including wine can cause some diseases including cirrhosis of the liver and alcoholism.[29] Also the American Heart Association recommends that people not start drinking if they do not already drink alcohol just to gain the benefits that wine provides.[30]

The French paradox refers to the lower incidence of heart diseases in France than in the USA, despite high levels of fat in the traditional French diet; this is attributed to their high consumption of wines. Grapes grown without fungicides develop fungi-protecting chemicals, which have properties beneficial to the heart. Muscat grapes have been found to have those chemicals in concentrations five times stronger than other kinds of grapes.[citation needed]

now u know what is the medical implications of wines...

If you really feel the need to get drunk then it's easier with hard alcohol, but it's also too easy to get totally out of control with hard alcohol. Wine is probably a worse hangover. I prefer just a mild buzz from wine. Forget the hard stuff. Getting totally drunk on anything is definitely bad for your health. Make it a habit and you'll eventually end up in the gutter.

No kind of alcohol is beneficial to your health when drank to get drunk. Alcohol consumed in moderation is beneficial. Moderate drinkers tend to have better health and live longer than those who are either abstainers or heavy drinkers.

Alcohol has been used medicinally throughout recorded history; its medicinal properties are mentioned 191 times in the Old and New Testaments. 1 As early as the turn of the century there was evidence that moderate consumption of alcohol was associated with a decrease in the risk of heart attack. 2 And the evidence of health benefits of moderate consumption has continued to grow over time. A review of research evidence from 1900 to 1986 found a strong, consistent relationship

The health benefits of moderate alcohol consumption have long been known. One of the earliest scientific studies on the subject was published in the Journal of the American Medical Association in 1904.Between moderate alcohol consumption and reduction in cardiovascular disease in general and coronary artery disease in particular. This is important because cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in the United States, and heart disease kills about one million Americans each and every year.
