This idea would be similar to the idea that either moderate Muslims would go along with the radical Muslims if they succeeded or the moderates actually hoping the radicals take power.

As a Christian in US, I am supposing that I am missing the point because of that. Would being from Canada clear up the confusion because I hope Jesus will rule and I am convinced that He will some day.

Christians mistakenly think reality is democratic. They're hoping if they get enough votes that X-God exists, they all get to have a big party after they die.
