I also bought an Innovage Emergency Radio/ Flashlight set which also has the same warning. My question is: are these products safe to use for adults and for children? If I had read the warnings, I probably would not have bought those products. Thanks in advance for your answers,

That is horrible!! This is why you need legislation for companies. Imagine being the ones to work in the factories that make this.

What happens when you dispose of these products? Do they go to the dump where they leak and leach into soil?

It's shameful what manufacturers are allowed to get away with. I've complained about a company near us that uses STYRENE, a known carcinogenic to coat bathtubs. Since there is no other chemical that does the job the government allows them to use it. Problem is they spew all this stuff into the air and it smells so horrible you can't even go by the factory when they are emitting, which they do on a FRIDAY afternoon, knowing all the inspectors have gone home and no one will come out.

Best thing to do is return the items to where you bought them, complain to the store manager loud and clear, and threaten to sue THEM for selling it.

If no one buys it then likely they will stop manufacturing it.

Write 60 Minutes and tell them about it...maybe they will do a piece on it....or anyone that does news on health issues.

I dont know but that doesnt sound good!! If a chemical could do that serious damage why are they putting it in their products? Maybe you could write to the company!?
