if you ask a guy whether he happens to have your number and he says that a mutual friend already gave it to him (he didn't ask for it from her but she just gave it to him) but he asks for it from you again does it mean that he's interested? or not?

hey there many possibilities.First he may be interested in you and just wants a chance to talk to you,SEcondly he has a doubt whether he has noted the number properly from the common friend and thirdly if the mutual friend is a girl he may think that she is jealous of he being interested in you and has purposely given him a wrong number. But beware some boys may purposely act as sweet people but behind the back they may make fun of you.So think twice before developing a crush on him(If u think he is sweet)

It means that he doesnt want to call you and you ask him where he got your number from. Someone walks up and hands me a number of someone else. I'd throw it away. It doesnt mean anything. However if the other person gave it to me and said you wanted me to have it and to call you, thats different.

sure he's interested in you, and by asking you for your number again it shows that he wants to be a gentleman to you because getting a girls number from a friend is kinda like stalkin and creepy roflmao. he has the hots for you, go get him :P

yes i would think so. And maybe he just wants you to know that he has your number. If a guy just calls me and i didn't give my number to him, i would be carefull unless i know him realy well. You get a lot a stalkers out ther. Get what i'm saying?!

He could just be acting polite. After all, what choice does he have? If you offer him your number he isn't going to say, "No, that's alright. I don't want it."
