I go for Hong Kong. It's more cheaper back there & there are lots of things to see too & you've got to try the foods. (- -,)

Hong Kong! I go there twice a year and I simply love it there! From the Philippines, it takes about a 1 1/2 hour flight while Singapore is quite farther. Hong Kong has:

* DELICIOUS food!

* Shopping is cheap.

*Victoria Peak
High above Hong Kong Island on the 'back of
the Dragon', Victoria Peak is Hong Kong's
premier visitor attraction, providing magnificent
harbour and city views.

The Peak offers visitors a multitude of fantastic
entertainment, dining and shopping options.

The best way to get to the top is via the Peak
Tram, a funicular railway that carves a steep
373-metre swathe up the lush mountainside.
The only way to describe the views from Peak
Tower's vantage point is "simply awesome".

The Best Shopping!!!
Hong Kong is a great shopping destination for
Jewelry, Leather, Audio/video, Asian arts, crafts
and antiques. Valuable Chinese antiques, such
as delicate vases, imperial embroidery and
ancient pots can all be unearthed, as well as
traditional silk garments, centuries-old opium
pipes and historical photographs. Many shops
can arrange to insure, pack and ship your
goods safely back home.

Hope you have fun at Hong Kong or Singapore!

Singapore it would be. She's got better food than HK, cheap public transport and easily accessible. No traffic jams, unlike HK which is jammed from 12am to 12am non-stop. HK is too crowded, you can't see anything except humans. And their eating houses are so packed that you can't even enjoy your small bowl of noodles.
No doubt HK has liveier nightlife because of its neon-lights, but Singapore boosts active nightlife as well like Zouk, St James Power Station etc. And Singapore has the famous night safari - best in Southeast Asia. Not to mention a world-class zoo.
Singapore is safe, even for women walking alone at night. Taxi fares are cheap, and there are night rider buses.
Shopping wise, both cities are great, but Singapore is cheaper, famous for its electronic goods, where people from half way round the globe would fly over just to buy them.
Last but not least, Singapore has one of the world's most respected statesman - Lee Kuan Yew. His vision and intelligence helped transformed a once resourceless, poor Malay fishing village into a First World Country.
Singapore now has the world's busiest seaport and a world-class airport - Changi airport.

tour packages from the Philippines should be priced similarly between Hong Kong and Singapore as long as you are able to travel via one of those budget airlines like Cebu Pacific for HKG and Tiger Air for Singapore. Hotels are relatively priced the same as well for both cities. Both cities have their respective attractions but I would advise you to go to Hong Kong since this seems to be your first offshore travel (?). Food is not too expensive in both cities as well as a number of options for sightseeing. Getting around both cities would also be a breeze as they both have efficient public transports. The advantage Hkg has for tourists is that shopping is relatively cheaper in HKg such as clothes and electronic gadgets. But I noticed that a tourist would more likely be ripped off in HKG than in Singapore.

Definitely Hong Kong!!! One can do so many things in Hong Kong.

1. Great shopping
2. Great food - especially their dim sums and roast goose
3. Night markets to find cute and great bargains
4. Electronic stuff and cameras, hand phones, camcoders.
5. Visit nearby Lantau Island
6. Last but not least, there is Disneyland. Yippee!!!

I've been to Hong Kong 4 times and yet, I want to go back every year. Singapore - I've been only twice.

They're both absolutely beautiful, but Hong Kong is a bit less restrained and more diverse in terms of sights and attractions.
You can also head into mainland China from there, and the former Portugese colony of Macau, which is quite interesting.

Love to get to the Phillipines one day! Have fun!
