Yea of course it would help out. Try to implement other activities into the run like one day do the 6km in a certain time. Or just run constant for a set amount of time. Do this to try to help both your stamina and speed in your runs. Other than this other ways to help out would be to hit the gym up and tone your muscles and to make sure to cool down on everything.

Stamina is such a relative term. Stamina for what ?

3.6 miles is a decent run for sure, and don't worry about your time unless you have a goal. Everyone is different and you should only worry about yourself.

What you are doing is great for you, your body, and you health.

Good Luck

You need to create a goal - and find a training program for it. I suggest www.halhigdon.com. Follow his 10k training plan for beginners. It's a great way to SLOWLY build stamina. Good luck!
