I grew up going to a Catholic School and studying theology. But I dont believe in it. There is just to much controversy over religion and science that I have lean toward the factoids of science. I do believe people need religion in there life or there would be chaos. Some people need religion to keep them going so that they know life is not to be taken for granted. I guess that would make me an agnostic. I just dont believe in anything i cannot see.
Not alot of people i know share my similar views. I was just curious who else does.

You are not alone. There are MILLIONS of agnostics & atheists on this planet, and in this country (USA). Many are just not vocal about it because until fairly recently, religious people KILLED millions of people who did not share their beliefs. Read about the Crusades, the Inquisition, witch burnings, etc. Lots of people still CLAIM or PRETEND to be of a certain religion, even when they don't really share those beliefs, because in some communities it is safer not to seem different. Hang in there - soon it will be safe!

Maybe studying theology and believing in God are 2 different things. Faith is a gift. God has to help you believe. If you want faith, you will get it. If you don't want it, it won't come to you. You can't see the wind but you believe it is there. You don't have to see the wind to believe it exists. God is the same. You can't see Him but you see the things He does. Faith is the same. I can't see my soul but I believe I have a soul. I don't need to see my soul because I can see what my soul can do. Without my soul I cannot move. I would be dead. You have a soul. You believe in your soul even if you don't see it. Without it you would be dead. You believe even if you don't see. What you need is a friend to help you believe. Maybe you also have to ask and really seek the faith you want to obtain. It is also a gift freely given to those who humbly ask for it. Sometimes we have to be sensitive to the way God works because He works silently. He works quietly. But He is everywhere. He made everything. Nothing can exist unless someone makes it. A Supreme Being must have put order in the universe, otherwise, all the planets will collide with each other. Creation speaks to us about God. We have to humbly admit that He actually exists. The earth will burn if the sun was too hot. The earth will freeze if the sun was not hot enough. But a loving God made the sun just the right size to sustain life on earth. God's supreme intellligence made everything perfect enough so that man can exist. About the Big Bang, maybe God made the Big Bang. The Big Bang could not create itself. Nothing can exist without something creating it. Only God is the uncaused Cause. This is logical. Most philoshophers know God exists. It is completely logical to believe that there is a God. There is no contradiction between science and faith. The more we know science, the more we know how great the God of the universe is.

"Some people need religion to keep them going so that they know life is not to be taken for granted."

I don't understand that at all. I think if these people were born in a world completely devoid of religious structures they would still find reasons to live.

All atheists do.

"I do believe people need religion in there life or there would be chaos"

Chaos like in Norway or Sweden where most of the population does not believe in God? Oh, there is no chaos? Imagine that. Those are actually two of the more prosperous, compassionate and educated societies in the world? Imagine that.
