My grandson has had an allergic reaction to something, where his skin keeps peeling off his hands. I think he could have used a bathroom spray and not washed it off. His skin has come off twice now and left the palms of his hands red (not sore though) but his hands feel warmer than normal. This has been going on for about 3 weeks now. The doctor has given me cream to rub into his hands. How long would this condition take for them to return to normal. Needless to say there are now no chemicals whatsoever in my bathroom.

Get a referral to a dermatologist. GP's tend to hand out steroid based creams without ever getting to the root of the problem.

Good luck.

Yikes! Poor fellow! Get a second opinion? Try to find a specialist on odd skin disorders. I don't know what to say other than that. So sorry for the little one!!! Ouch!!
