I mean... what's the best way to tell a girl that I like her, when I have known her for a while and she's kind of my best friend... What words should I use? Should I tell her face to face or should I do it by messenger?

Don't pressure her.
Give her a small gift; a single rose, a small teddy bear, or something. Nothing too extravagant, but nothing too cheap. Hand it to her in person, and tell her that you've developed feelings for her. Don't rush her into an answer, and let her think about it. For this reason it might be smarter NOT to take her someplace where you can be alone with her, just in case she needs time by herself to sort it through. It takes a different amount of time for some girls. It may take minutes, days, or even weeks.
If you feel like it's been a good amount of time and she hasn't even brought it up, try to casually mention it in your next conversation with her - something along the lines of (but perhaps not exactly) "Hey, remember when I told you that I had feelings for you? Well.. I wanted to apologize if it felt kinda sudden, and I didn't want to scare you or anything, but I really do have these feelings for you."
Anyways, just remember to give her some time, and don't be discouraged if she turns you down. Good luck!

Definately to her face, that is for sure.
Be honest. Perhaps something along the lines of, "You know you are one of my closest friends, you understand me better than anyone and I can't hide what I feel anymore. I like you. You are beautiful and brilliant and I am the happiest when you are around. . . "

its more romantic if you say in front of her.if u use messenger,you might dunno her expression.and my tip how to say to her in words,you can ask her this "If a boy likes you,would you like him?" if she says 'yes',then you say "if I like you?" but...if she says she doesn't like the 'boy' just say you 're just asking!
