I am retired, and interested in horology.Can you suggest where i can find a load of repair tools and spares.

i need a watchmakers/ clockmakers lathe, other tools, plus spare parts and old broken watches/clocks to practice on.

Try Freecycle, a site set up where people advertise all their unwanted stuff from dishwashers to broken bits and bobs, to GIVE away. You can also put a request on specifying what you are after.
The freecycle groups are localised as well as national.
