Canon used to make a variety. I have their Z40 which has a dual mic input (it can be set as headphones, or as mic or as line level), S-Video (in or out), composite (in or out) and FireWire. The Z60 also did this. And it had a full 1 year warranty.

Samsung had a 203 that had a mic input and composite outputs as well as firewire, but that was all it offered, plus a 90 day labor warranty which is common for camcorders.

You just described the canon GL2. It has all these features, plus 3 1/4 inch ccds, 20x optical zoom, manual shutter as low as 1/8, advanced accessory shoe for attaching a mic without wires, and has an LANC terminal as well. I got one off of eBay for $1500, although you could probably find a better deal. Hope this helps!
