If your room does not get alot of light be wary of a really dark color as it will turn the room into a cave. On the other hand you can have alot of lamps and it wouldn't matter, or you can compromise and paint two/three walls the deep color you love and match it with a off-white. If you are going with a deep hot pink (you totally should!), match it with a funky silver wall to complement your bluish-gray carpet or a rich mocha to go with your furniture. Good luck and I hope it's everything you want it to be!

If you want to control the intensity of the light outside entering, the use of blinds is a recommended idea for your window. Blinds come in different variation to suit your window requirements.
Another popular window treatment idea is to the use drapery. With proper fabric application over your window, dual purposes can be served. It will not only serve its function of covering up the window, offering you privacy, dimming the outside light but also beautifies the room.

I love chocolate brown and pale blue together. Since you already have a shade of blue in the flooring, maybe do the walls in a pretty blue, but somthing light to cool off and brighten the room.

I painted my room a deep red color (called "Cranberry Zing" from Glidden) and I absolutely love it. I kind of did my room to look jazz-clubbish... red walls, lots of bright white accents with some sage green, white lights around the ceiling, and pictures of the city skyline (I live in Chicago) and Frank Sinatra. My wood trim and furniture look amazing against the red, too.
I know, probably not for everyone... but it completely relaxes me!
Good luck to you!

I think you would probably like pink, but I am suggesting a teal or aqua blue. However, I think you might like to go to the website below and use their color choice program. It's really cool because you can choose colors you have, like or are considering and it will let you apply them to the walls, trim, & floors of a virtual room. It is really helpful and you can see how your colors would look. Have fun!

the 2nd. you additionally can handle to pay for to circulate a splash darker, then use a easy version of that shade for the ceiling so it incredibly is much less extreme. i replaced into afraid to apply shade as we've constantly had lily white partitions and white ceilings. And catalogues are actually not precise. I chosen here Nippon paints for my daughter's room: captivating Lilac 1132 (partitions) soft 8149 (ceiling) Harmonious pink 8170 (on the beams for a extra physically powerful assessment - basically a splash) it incredibly is of their modern catalogue. yet i'd think of diverse international places would have diverse ones.

how about a lively rose color for the walls and very light yellow for the blinds, chocolate brown/deep plum carpet. i'm sure your bedroom will look much nicer and cozier. my room has color blocking-- silver and rose walls. the flooring is black. i put some accents like silver w frosted glass chandelier and framed bas relief. it looks like a hotel room now! :)
