I'll split this into two diff catergories

Exercise:
1 - Finding something FUN! (Ex. I like dancing and riding my bike a lot more than I do running around town or spending almost an hour day in front of the TV doing some aerobics DVD. Just listening to some good music can pump me up tho, making almost any exercise more enjoyable).

2 - Routine! (Ex. Dancing and riding my bike only do so much for me - I find I NEED to include running in my cardio to see fast results, but its so boring!? My solution: making it so routine that I don't even have time to moan about it until its over with. I schedule it in the mornings, have my sneakers right by the bed so that I wake up, put them on and head right out the door before I have the chance to wake up and think about how much I'd rather just go back to sleep lol. Its great because that early there arent usually many people out yet and once I get back inside I have a quick shower and finish gettin ready for my day!)

3 - TRAINER / BUDDY (If you can't afford paying a personal trainer, just enlist a friend or family member - to either push you towards your goals, or work out along side you! Just try to pick someone who has some sort of will power lol, wont do you any good if your buddy is also unmotivated and you both end up getting an ice cream or burger dressed up in your running gear! lmao)

Eating Right:
1 - QUALITY of food (If you're like me and can almost classify eating as a hobbie then you might want to become friends with fruit!! Many fruits do good for you the more you eat them, ex: Tomatoes. These wonderful red delights, when eaten fresh, actually contain less calories than required to consume them!! If you really feel like stuffing your face in front of the TV one night, give in to a bag of grapes! You will satisfy your munch erge, sweet tooth, fill your belly AND not feel guilty about it afterwards!)

2 - QUANTITY of food! (If I plan when I will eat something really rich, not only will I have be more concious about how much I eat but I will also be motivated to eat right up until that glorious moment! It can even be a simple daily thing, eating a healthy non-greasy breakfast, small snacks of fruits and veggies all day and then getting a nice full serving of Steak and Potatoes at supper time!!)

3 - EDUCATION / EXPLORATION! (Learning about food and how different things really effect your body can be quite motivational lol. Not too mention, exploring new healthy ideas. Maybe that celery stick is hard to eat because you've had it ALL your life, but why not try sticking it in a blender with whatever other fruits/veggies u've got lying around and see what kind of tasty smoothie you can make!)

The biggest motivation is my desire to look good. Recently I analysed that stress and mental illness cause bad eating habits and you are not benefited from your workout. Stress may also cause respiratory problems. Listen to music, calm down and look at yourself in mirror. Avoid abuse.

For me, when I started having gas and stomach aches from intestinal clogging, I started eating right. Been eating about 93% healthy for the past 15 years.
