Have you ever used a magnifying glass to burn something?
The same thing happens to the retina in your eyes when you stare at the sun.

Yes. UV (Ultra Violets) Rays are hitting your eyes. That y you squint when you see the sun. But during a Solar Eclipse, the moon is blocking the sun, but the UV are still going into your eyes. Thats y you have to wear Welding glasses to see Solar Eclipse. UV are the thing that cause sun burn. Your eyes will burn and go blind. So watch yourself

I think that if you stare at the sun at all it damages your eyes. it is WAY too bright to look straight at.

Don't stare at the sun ever. even for a minute!!!!!!!!!!!! You may not notice any problem but you will over time. It's extremely dangerous!

yes. You can also go blind if you stare to long at the sunset or even an eclipes.
