well my sister gave this guy my phone number and we have been taking for about a week and have to decided to meet in an open place where people are at....i guess my question is do looks really matter in a first blind date????i told him what i look like and have sent him pics through the internet to give him a clue on what i look like so its not totaly a blind date....is it a good or bad idea i am just worried on what he would think.....and what are some fun ideas after we eat????we can't decide what else to do???its really cold where i am at and i work crazy hours and i am just plain nervous about every thing........he seems really nice and i haven't went on a date in so long just out of the game....any advice would be appreciated....thank you for your time

Fun ideas after you eat??????? How about saying goodnight, platonic hug and into the car/cab alone. Leave him wanting more and for a possible second date! Ideas will come to you then since you will know each others interests

Well look at it as an adventure. The best advice that I can give to you is for you to just be yourself. Be comfortable just being you. That is regardless of if you are attracted to him or not. I know initially looks matter but once you get to know someone it is their personality that makes them really attractive.
Since it is cold where you are why not go out for coffee or hot tea at a Starbucks and sit and talk for a while.
Don't worry about having been out of the game. It truly is like riding a bike.........it will all come back to you. Remember nothing ventured nothing gained. Just have a good time. :)

most of the time looks really matter in blind date. we allow our self for a blind date for one mare reason, finding the right person for us, right? so for me we must look good but act and introduce the real YOU, so that if the like you he will like you not just the look but the whole YOU. just be your self always.

You could do a lot of things afterwards. Movies, bowling, shooting pool, maybe have a quiet drink somewhere...just don't get loaded. If he is willing to still go on a date with you now you are already in. You don't have to impress him. Just be yourself.
