Hilarious question....I love it!
Obviously God didn't change....but something changed.
Time has a way of changing things....maybe it was just time for a change?

The bible writers often change things in order to suit a reader's perception of what 'God' is like. If they don't, people will start converting to other religions, simply because people learn to understand the nature of things more over the time, which one understands that it doesn't require a God's existence in order to prove what ultimate reality is.
This is also why idiots like Harun Yahya (www.harunyahya.com) is telling others all the things that contradicts his own Quranic teachings. You may want to find out what he wrote about Christianity and the Testaments.
Speaking of Testaments, have you came across the Book of Mormon? They have the new-new Testament!!!

Having kids will do that to a person...
Seriously, its a cultural/sociological thing. The times of the old testament were harsh, so they needed a harsh "doling out the smackdown" type of god, to keep people in line.
As society settled down, the authors of the bible were free to make god a bit more kind and loving.
It's all about the artistic license...

He didn't change. He rewards faith, and does not work in doubt. Jesus said that those that do not believe are not saved. That's the same thing that we see in the Old Testament. We can see God's love in the Old Testament, as well as the New Testament.

God did not change, the cult leaders of Christianity changed and evolved their warped message
The creator (call it what you want) did not write or take part in the new or old testaments.
Religion is a man made conception. There is nothing spiritual labout it

Christians and their special pleading. How can they simultaneously disown the most egregious passages of the OT and then deny that God changed?
Can't have it both ways!

God didnt change, people's interpretations and understandings changed.
The Qur'an answers many of the contradictions and confusion present in judaism and christianity.

Simple he got laid with Mary, and you obviously see the how dramatically he changed. If it worked for God it should work for us all, so try it.
