We are all psychic, but for the majority the gift or the belief has been long knocked out of them. Educated out is another way of looking at it. Many professional psychics have grown up in a psychic friendly environment. Perhaps a grand-parent or parent with the knowledge has helped bring the extra sense out in the open and encouraged its use. But there are as many practicing psychics who have not had the benefit of caring psychic guidance and who have still managed to develop and hone this natural extra sense.

n the Bible, the words translated "spirit" basically mean "breath." But this implies much more than the act of breathing. The Bible writer James, for example, states: "The body without spirit is dead." (James 2:26) Hence, spirit is that which animates the body.

This animating force cannot simply be the breath, or air, moving through the lungs. Why not? Because after breathing stops, life remains in the body cells for a brief period—"for several minutes," according to The World Book Encyclopedia. For this reason, efforts at resuscitation can succeed. But once the SPARK OF LIFE is extinguished from the cells of the body, any efforts to restore life are futile. All the breath, or air, in the world cannot revive even one cell. The spirit, then, is the invisible life-force—the SPARK OF LIFE that keeps the cells and the person alive. This life-force is sustained by breathing.—Job 34:14, 15.

Is that spirit active only in humans? The Bible helps us to reach a sound conclusion in this matter. Wise King Solomon acknowledged that humans and animals "all have but one spirit," and he asked: "Who is there knowing the spirit of the sons of mankind, whether it is ascending upward; and the spirit of the beast, whether it is descending downward to the earth?" (Ecclesiastes 3:19-21) So animals as well as men are spoken of as having a spirit. How can that be?

The spirit, or life-force, can be compared to the electric current that flows through a machine or an appliance. The invisible electricity may perform various functions, depending on the type of equipment it powers. For example, an electric stove can be made to generate heat, a computer to process information, and a television set to produce images and sound. Yet, the electric current never takes on the features of the equipment it activates. It remains simply a force. Similarly, the life-force does not take on any of the characteristics of the creatures it animates. It has no personality and no thinking ability. Humans and animals "have but one spirit." (Ecclesiastes 3:19) When a person dies, therefore, his spirit does not go on existing in another realm as a spirit creature.

I know that many people dismiss the idea of psychic abilites out of hand, but if you look at this issue carefully, and think about it critically, there is quite a bit to think about.

For "psychic abilites" consider this as meaning the ability of a conscious mind to effect changes above that of a unconscious machine. This would provide an explantion of how conscious evolved via natural selection, and what it's role is. Otherwise, it seems unlikely and random.

Therefore, it is a very interesting idea.

This is a weird question as it seems you are assuming that psychic abilities actually exist. People tend to explain the unexplained by calling it magic or in this instance psychic ability.
Do humans have souls? It's possible. I guess we all find out when we die, unless, of course, we don't have souls.

They wouldn't even if they existed, which they don't. No one has ever been able to demonstrate actual psychic abilities under controlled circumstances (i.e., when they couldn't be cheating).

If you can prove me wrong, go ahead - win a million bucks and open up an entirely new field of science. You can start here http://www.randi.org .

If I understand you properly, you're utilising soul a similar way one would use the note expertise. That suggested, it continues to be puzzling to describe scientifically. ideas that you'll listen on your head also lack a frequently time-honored rationalization today. certain, area of that is neurons firing, yet that seems inadequate. The "soul" so call it, is something it truly is intrinsically area people, and thus far, inseparable. the fellow consciousnesses are not any more linked to one yet another. Electrons are not any more the basic style of power both, they're count number. Electrons are the negatively charged area of the atom, and performance very minute, yet existent mass. no longer something can extremely be made up of power, because power is unlike that. power is a descriptor, no longer a element. issues could have mass, colour, length, power, yet they couldn't be made up of any of those. declaring something is made up of power makes no extra sense than declaring that is made up of blue, a minimum of from a physics perspective.

Yes, as everything was created or is a manifestation of a single force, we are connected to each other and the universe around us. That is why, someone sitting in the US can sense or "see" what is going on in another country. If there is no common force uniting us to the environment around us, such feats will not be possible.

My feeling is that the brain is giving off some sort of frequencies, it is very powerful and its been said that we only use very little of it. Some people who have similar brain waves or whatever and communicate without actually talking. People don't actually need to talk to communicate with each other. When the mind is clear or using parts of it never used, you can start to see things that you never could before like shadow peoples and such

I believe in the ability that some see hear and feel the "unknown" because why would the Lord just put us here, take our loved ones from us and leave us to wonder "why" or are they okay. It doesn't make sense that he woulnt put those special people on this earth to teach us to not fear death.

Does anything (that isn't completely ridiculous and flawed) prove the existence of psychic abilities first of all? Noooo....
