I've heard that consuming gelatin works, also that eating 1 tablespoon of plain mustard per day or something will help that.

If all else fails you could try one of those "nail strengthening" polishes from the grocery store, though I can't speak for how effective they are.

Apply Witch Hazel to your nails every am and pm.
I had horrid problem nails, this really cleared them up!
*Take your calcium 3x's a day as well.

COuld be a lack of harmone. There are some polishes that promise to strenghten your nail they that. Ask you doctor.
