My mom told me we didn't even own a camera so no pictures to freshen my memory. My sister opened a perfume pretty barbie doll, and I tore open a doll baby. I wanted her doll, about 20 years later...I got it. How come nobody believes me. I remember the light coming through the window, I remember how my sister looked and what she was wearing. I also remember my brother running around with a gi joe. Why doesn't my family not believe me except for my Dad?

I believe you. I had this picture in my head of being in a field of violets with my aunt & we were laughing. Last year, in my other aunts scrapbook-there we were! In black & white-I couldn't have been more than 18 months. I can also remember reaching out my arms to my grandfather from Mothers arms & her saying "Here-you take her & see what you can do with her!"so I know I was very little. Some people remember things early-I think mostly happy things! You can't MAKE some people believe, because they have no early recollections. Still, I am cautious what I say around little ones-you never know!

I believe you totally. I remember the same age. I remember my mother bathing me in the kitchen sink. I remember her putting me on a towel on the kitchen table. I would have been around that same age. So yes its possible.

well... there are a lot of studies about human memory, and what scientific investigations say is that there are a loto of memories that never happened... i mean, maybe they happened, but your brain figures out a lot of things and takes a lot of elements from other memories and creates a new one... is said that the human brain cannot create things, just conceptualize them... i mean, you know what a tree is, but you can't imagine exactly as it is... so the memories that you had, even when you're pretty sure that they happened, maybe are not as real as they seem.

I would say because it is highly unusual for someone to be able to remember that much at that age. I'm not saying its impossible but unusual. Don't know how you can convince your family that its true. It sounds like they don't remember.

well there's nothing to disbelieve you. we think that babies don't remember nothing but that's wrong. they've a better memory than most of us. and ur case exemplifies this.
