Well, matters what type of grape vine you have and how much room you have to grow it in. I have a grape vine that has been at my house before I was born. Produces nice concord grapes. We have it put up on a rectangular 10x6 foot structure made out of iron pipes. Regular watering when it is young, and after a few years you could let it go. It will keep regenerating and getting bigger every year. Just keep the bees and yellow-jackets away from it. They love to break open the grapes and feed off of the inner part of them.
