Don't be in such a rush.

Just because high school girls have boyfriends, and boyfriends have high school girlfriends doesn't mean you have to have one.

The appropriate age to have a boyfriend would be around 16 1/2 years of age or above. That is about the prime time you can get a summer job or a driver's license.

15 and under is way too young. Waaaaaay toooooo young!!!!

Concentrate on your studies first before you can think of boys if your 15 years and under.

That would depend on your parents. My parents said I could start dating when I was 16.

Personally, I say start when you're comfortable and if you're of the age your parents tell you you can start dating. Even though my parents said I could date at 16, I haven't started dating cause (1) I've always been busy with school (2) At my school at the time the dudes were either taken, cocky, or gay (3) my low self-esteem was very evident (4) unlike some of my friends, I'm not attracted to every dude that comes down the street. He has to have that something...like my 1st crush did. ^_^ (I was 13 when I had my first crush)

Don't go around dating every dude that happens to look cute cause all the other girls are doing it. Date guys you actually like. Don't feel pressured to do anything you don't want to do cause in the end it was your decision and you have to live with it, not that boyfriend you'll probably end up breaking up with.

Hope this helps.

P.S: The reason why I emphasize following your parent's dating rules is cause as long as you depend on them for a ride and money they, pretty much, control what you do and don't do outside of school. Staying on their good side and not betraying thier trust always works.

Dating in high school is age appropriate. I think at least 13 and no one more than 2 to 3 years older if you're under 18. It's okay to be single. I didn't start dating until I was in university!

You can have a boyfriend whenever you feel you are prepared. My opinion about having boyfriends at 15 or 17 is just like going to the thearer, to eat or those kind of things boyfriends use to do. But when you have 20 or 22 you are now prepared to marry. So I think it would be okay at 18 or 19 if you really want to have a BOYFRIEND.

But this is only my opinion. You can have a boyfriend whenever you feel like :)

I would say at least 16 but dating or "courting" is about maturity! Its not about making out or whatever! Dating is usually for the older crowd! Having guy friends is ok you dont need to have a boyfriend or girlfriend! And there is no right age! Unless your under 14 BAD IDEA! Im a mother and i know it would drive me crazy!

Well, I am 27 now. I started dating when I was in the 14 to 15 range. Personally I think this is the best age to start. Just be smart about how you handle yourself, and don't fall for all of the guy's pick up lines. Remember...98% of guys are assholes and only want one thing.

its not really an age, its a level of maturity.

Boyfriends are a lot to handle.

looking back at my middle school- high school boyfriends were NOTHING COMPARED TO THE one im in now. so it all depends on you!

I would say older than 15.
If you really want to plan it out, wait till you're out of High School and have a better understanding of who you are and what you want.

The sooner, the better. It's lot of fun and you can learn how to interact and communicate with boys.

But be careful that boys don't take advantage of you. Specially in teenagehood, ....

there is no real age. but i think most people think its better to have a boyfriend or girl friend when you are a teen or whatever.

i would say 14,15 is pretty good but it matters how mature you are.
