Please don't force yourself to suffer.
In medical school doctors are required to do physical exams on their fellow classmates and in their every day lives they are also patients.
Find a family physician, a male doctor if that makes you more comfortable. Write down your problems and maybe just hand them the piece of paper if you don't feel like you can talk about it.
The real issue here is that you get to looking and feeling better and in order for that to happen, you have to prevent further outbreaks. It's likely that you will be given an oral anti-biotic.
As for the scarring, there are gel-like squares called scar pads. They help reduce the appearance of scars and sometimes prevent scarring alltogether. You can find them in a drugstore in the band-aid section, but the best ones are sold in medical equipment/supply stores.
Here is an excellent medical link which will help:

Believe me, your doctor has probably seen much worse things than scars left by boils. In any case, he or she won't care about that. Their job is to help people get well. That's all they care about. As for your girl friend, I'm sure she would rather you see your doctor than see you suffer. So, suck up your misplaced pride and make an appointment tomorrow. You'll be glad you did.

Don't jump into conclusions about being contagious, there are many skin problems that are not contagious. Maybe you have been siting too long on hard and uncomfortable seats. Go to a dermatologist.
At this site you can see you are not alone

if they are puss filled and painful, it may be infection and yes it is possible to spread to others even if u think u've "cleaned" up. u should really go to ur doctor so he/she can evaluate the source and give u recommendation.
