It can be argued that the Roman Empire lasted for almost 2000 years, if you accept the "empire" in all it's later forms.

The primary factor was that they were aquisitionists more than they were conquerors. That is, when they moved into an area, they allowed the people to maintain their own style of living so long as they made token payments of taxes to the empire. This greatly reduced inter-cultural stresses.
Further, this also meant that they were able to aquire technologies quickly -- instead of having to develop road building, they were able to absorb this knowledge from cultures they encountered that already had this knowledge. Rome was not constantly reinventing the wheel.

that was they have taught you to believe that the roman empire is the greatest empire. Taught by the Romans from their religion Roman Catholic Church.

the western world has its foundations there. politics, trade etc
many nations failed, and we dont see any glimpses of them, yet we see the roman empire everywhere we look, if only we had the knowledge to see it.

they have better life then the others, more open and er stright forward vices, you can do anything and as long as you have money you da man.
the same area? it slowly become too controlled by gov. relgion
