I just bought a 1993 Saab Cse 9000 for 1800. Its a really nice car but the only problem is that it doesnt go in reverse. It grinds and pops out. Im wondering how much it would cost? Estimate.

Ive been told $300, but when he looked at it and saw it was front wheel drive he said maybe $1500 because they have to take the engine out but he doesnt really know? Anyone help! Thanks

Josh

The reverse stack shift fork is either bent or broken. Regardless, your tranny will have to come out. This can be done without pulling the entire engine/trans assembly. The tranny has a couple of quirks coming apart that if done wrong will junk your gearbox. So if your shop is not up on the trans don't risk the work being done. The reverse stack is still available through a couple of sources and should run you about $350.00. Since you have to go into the box anyway I would strongly recommend putting in the syncros and bearings as you will only being paying for the parts, the labor is pretty much the same either way. If you run into problems finding parts let me know I have them on the shelf. Good Luck

Liberals do exactly in comparison to weapons, and that they don't desire human beings to have them. it fairly is why they react the way they do to situations like what got here approximately in Newtown. A terrible tragedy occurs on the palms of a entire whacko, so their reaction is to bypass all forms of gun rules which will do not something to evade the same incident. it fairly is in basic terms an excuse to take a shot at criminal gun proprietors, because of the fact liberals do in comparison to them.

the reverse syncro is bad and yes they have to pull the tranny to rebuild it or you can get 1 from a junkyard for about 350.00 + whatever the shops labor is they can pull the tranny without pulling the motor
