Many of you enjoy saying things like "I serve only God" and "I am the Lord's slave"

You wish to go to Heaven, where you will spend an eternity serving God.

What is this fascination with being enslaved?

we are all slaves; slaves to death. And slaves to sin, unless you bind yourself to God. In Jesus' name. It isn't a fasciation, but a reality. I recommend this site: www.desiringgod.org
for a different perspect of what it means to "be the Lord's "slave""

The Jews had been enslaved for centuries. I guess it was comfortable for them to envision themselves as slaves to God rather than slaves to Egyptians, Babylonians etc.

Think of it this way.. I'm a bondservant of my Lord Jesus Christ. That means I'm a servant by choice. I don't have to serve, I GET to serve the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, my Jesus who did so I can live.

Offering service requires moral values. It's something that would never occur to you if you're self-centered.

Christians who go into ministries often never turn back because of the depth of fulfillment in knowing that someone else in the world thinks of you as a hero.

Repent, ask for forgiveness, and ask Jesus Christ to come into your heart. You would be a much happier person if you served and praised the Good Lord.

We are messege carers while on earth but when we go to heaven we will be with our heavely Father. Just like you and I have a father on earth, God is the Heavely Father.

Not understanding who they are in Christ Jesus. We are children of God, not slaves. He is our Lord, and we are faithful servants; not to be confused with slavery, but with dutifully fufilling the work inspired by the Holy Spirit of God- it is a privilage to be united with our God. Is it a privilage to care for your child, right? It isa privilage care for my God.
