Some diseases are caused by genetic mutations-the inability to metabolize certain vitamins and minerals.
Heredity of a recessive gene causes certain blood disorders such as hemophilia.

there are A LOT of diseases caused by deficiencies and infections...if you lack vitamin A, you might develop night blindness...if you scratch your eye with your dirty hand, you will develop sore eyes...diseases caused by deficiencies are particular to the body part affected. like in Vitamin A which the eyes need..and certain infections would also cause from deficiencies because the body's immune system will be compromised so, you are prone to infection.
