It's not the amp that makes the difference in sound, IT'S THE ENCLOSURE TYPE, THE SIZE/TYPE OF VEHICLE, QUALITY OF THE SOURCE SIGNAL AND PLACEMENT OF THE SUBS!!!!!

All an amplifier does is...well amplify. As I said before, you can take ANY amp that pushes a known 300 watts and it won't matter the brand for "sound quality" as 300 watt is 300 watts.

It's like taking the exact same type/kind/style of rope and saying the green rope is stronger than the red, which is false.

All you have to do is make sure the amp you choose is CEA-2006 compliant. This means the manufacturer has voluntarily had their amp tested by the Consumer Electronics Association and by these tests, it has been determined the amp pushes the watts stated - http://www.crutchfield.com/S-4BHRcwOLDpO/popups/cacomp.html

Hifonics used to be really good.now they are middle of the pack, the examples you gave are all better than hifonics.the most important things to look at when getting an amp is 1)rms power ratings that is the true power not peak 2)sensitivity the higher it is the louder it will sound 95 and up is good 3)THD=toal harmonic distortion the lower it is the cleaner the sound

There's a great deal of people out there, many who car audio geeks that would tell you that all amps basically sound the same esp. mid-high end amps. Many of those spec differences aren't even audible. Make sure the amp has all the features you need and most importantly dont skimp on power.

I have one 1200 watt Brutus amp and it pounds the s*** out of my four 12inch CVR's. But I also Have an extra battery so my car battery doesn't drain. It all depends on how much power you are putting through your speakers. You and channel you speakers also. *Too much power will blow your speakers.
