Okay so is there a possiblility for an enlisted sailor go into the field of Naval Research?

Im starting bootcamp on Aug 18, then i plan to go to the Advanced electronics field..then I was wondering If i can be in the naval research field how? Should I need degrees or such?

It is possible, but you will need to talk to your careers advisor in the navy. You will most likely need some university qualification, which the navy might help with. Talk to the careers people in the navy. But be prepared to fight for the position and also to stay as an enlisted.

most reasearch for the Navy is done by civilians. You need to be more specific.. what kind of research.. computers? Nuke? Oceanography?
