Ok I met this guy about a year and a half ago online. We talked over internet calls and everything and became good friends. Well about a month or so ago it got more personal. We moved to messenger and the phone. The problem I am having is I think I fell in love with him. I have never met him in person before but the feelings I get just from just talking to him is like nothing I have ever felt from any guy before. When hes not around I feel a sinking in my heart till the next time he calls. People who know both of us say its scarey how alike we are. I guess what Im asking is how do you know when its real? If you have experienced anything like what I've said adivce would be greatly appreciated.

ok for the rest of the story. Yes we are both married. We are both unhappy with our marriages. Still in them for complicated reasons too long for here. He does feel the same way he was the first to say it. For some reason we connect. I do plan on meeting him in two weeks. Im flying to his home state and we'll see where things go from there. Im actually getting nervous, didnt think I would but I am. So now you have most of the story. Even though we are both married to other people it doesnt stop the fact that we have strong feelings for each other that our spouses dont give us. So now any advice?

Darknecrosforte you scare me. Im assuming youve felt this before? Yes we connected on a deeper level He knows things that normal people dont about me. Everything you said is so true im kinda at a loss of words and actually crying cuz you hit it so right on.

What started the connection? That helps.
I'm just completely guessing here, but I think I can describe this guy very well. The first thing you notice about him is that he communicates on a different level than most guys. It's like EVERYTHING he says has a second meaning. That meaning usually is saying that he is either extremely confident or that you two are involved on a deep level. This guy says things that are borderline-too personal, but he gets away with it because of the way he carries himself. He's funny as hell, but not always cracking jokes and a lot about him seems profound.
If most of this is true, he is probably a keeper and I don't know why you are wasting your time having FRIENDS tell you about him, instead of finding out firsthand.
Next, you are a little weird/emotional, but I realize most girls are like this. Calm down when you meet him and you'll score more points. You won't EVER have anything that's real until you meet.
Get off your *** now (actually wait for him to call and then TELL him about a park you've always wanted to go rollerblading at. DO IT when he says he'll take you. It is safe, innocent, and the perfect amount of aggressiveness.)

Hmm why not see if you can arrange to meet him in a public place? I met my wife on yahoo chat a few years ago and I haven't regretted it yet. :-D Just don't tell him how you feel until after you meet him face to face. He may not feel the same way and it might scare him away you just need to tell him, hey, we've been talking for quite a long time now, and I have decided it would be really great to be able to put a face with a name. So let's get together and go see a movie or something. Just make it in a public place for the first meeting. I give you the best of luck and excellent question. -James

You need to be careful with him. Make sure that he does not have any motive from you. Some people are professional Internet love cheater. Just be extra careful. It is okay to fell in love with him. Do not put your guards off just because you fell in love with him. You got to seriously need to keep your mind clear and stay alert. Ask more and talk to more people regarding this question.

Will be hard to know it is real till you meet him. Chemistry over the phone is great but without physical chemistry it won't be a lasting thing.

it sound like you just need to take it slow for now until you meet
him in person then you can see how things go, if you only talk
on the phone. he could say anything. but when you meet then you
will know.

looks to me you are in love good for you. hope hes don't have a wife. but a year and then some.is a lot of time . well you ask him out get it going. he may be shy. and don't know how to ask you.most of all do what your heart tells you to.GO FOR IT
