I've never tried Sonic, but I'll take your word for it. I heart In-N-Out, it's überfresh. However, it freaks me out that EVERY single In-N-Out chain looks exactly the same! It is as if I am living in a state of perpetual de-ja-vu!

You'll find them everywhere in Southern California. Unless they've successfully expanded elsewhere. I hit that place everytime I make it to my hometown, San Diego!
