but i didnt sleep last nite bacause i had a 39.5 c fever and paracetamol would't bring it down, i even had a shower at 2 in the morning to bring the temperature down but didn't work, Should i got back to the doctor?

viruses can't be killed by antibiotics, unfortunately you have to ride it out... take tylenol and/or motrin for the fever (you can take them both together) even putting cold compresses under your arms and on your forehead. If any other symptoms persist like vomiting, diarrhea, wheezing, call your doctor. many viruses that are going around at this time are resulting in fevers that last for 3-4 days. hope u feel better!

Absolutely, that is an very high fever to not get back down. Use icepacks under the arms and in the groin areas to get the fever down. Fevers can cause a lot of damage to your body when they get uncontrollably high. Did you try tylenol? That's what we use at the hospital. Call the doctor if you can't get in. The only thing about going to the ER is that they will make you WAIT and wait and wait. They prefer to tend to people in cardiac arrest over a high fever. But, you do need to see someone, even if it's your last choice.

Better make sure it can be discovered the type of virus "they" claim you have. Document all of your symptoms and give a copy to your Dr. You know how you feel...if you continue to feel ill, continue seeking dr's. treatment with a diagnosis and treatment plan.

I didnt go back to the doctor cause they told me my symptons werea virus,i ended up getting pnuemonia If you are in any doubt whatsoever go back
