As a mom of three grown children I can say - take responsibility for your situation. Tell your parents that you have something to talk to them about, explain your situation with Spanish and DON'T try to lay blame on anyone else (my teacher isn't fair, I have too many chores to study, etc.). Believe me, parents know the difference between an excuse and the truth. Tell them you missed assignments and did poorly on your test (now you know why you have homework - it prepares you for the tests...) and know you have the grade you have earned. Tell they you have learned a lesson and will put forth more effort to bring the grade up. And then do it. Trust me, your education will affect you FAR MORE than it will affect your parents. Buckle down and bring that grade up, you will be glad and proud that you did. Parents are FAR MORE able to deal with a problem when you approach it with honesty and taking responsibility.

You f**k up and are upset because your parents will be upset? Are you willing to take the consequences of your own conduct? Is somebody else responsible for your grades? If so, have that person submit your reports to your parents and take the heat. If your grades are your own responsibility, then take your lumps, you deserve them. But let's talk about next time. Map out what you can do to improve those grades. What specifically can you do to raise them? If you were to spend an honest 45 minutes a day on any language at the end of a year you'd speak and read it a hell of a lot better than you do right now. Any language. So start hitting the Spanish. At least 45 minutes a day. Steady. Every day. And allocate specific times for other studies. You can do it. So do it. And good luck.

Well they are going to find out sooner or later so you might as well tell them now. No point hiding it because once they find out just how long you've ben hiding it, they will be even more dissapointed. You really got to step it up and show them you can do it!
