My former roomate had about 5 shirts. I never thought of cutting down on the amount of clothing I use, but it did bring the idea of getting rid of some of them, especially the ones I don't wear as much.
I also had a conversation with a female friend of mine on this topic before. It does have a lot to do with how he was/is raised, but there are some things you can do to get him in style, or at the very least just wearing some different clothes.
- go out shopping to a mall, deparment store, target, kohls, wal-mart, wherever you choose. make it fuuun. say "hey, you know what would turn me on?," "you, in this shirt"
- buy him a couple shirts similar to what he wears, but different - and slowly start changing it to something that you wnat him to wear with each purchase. :)
- whenever you see him wearing the different shirts, make a positive comment about it, like "wow, you look good in red," or whatever it may be.
I personally like to have at least 15-30 different shirts, and around 2-3 pants, and same for shorts. But I've always had a lot of clothes.
Good luck gradually garb-changing!

Posibly he likes one style of cloths and buys several shirts and pants that are the exact same. I know for quite a while I had 8 shirts that were all exactly the same... Now only one and it is my favorite work shirt.

He could be poor. Maybe he has a pretty good self-image and doesn't really care. :-) If this really bothers you (which it shouldn't), ask him out on a date to the mall for lunch and shopping. This way, you can inconspicuously get him more clothes while treating him. Have fun!

Well if he only has 1 set of clothes, things must get really interesting when his laundry gets done!

in case you like your boyfriend: a million. tell him something like, "i do no longer recognize why those adult males shop flirting with me, even once I tell them I certainly have a boyfriend" then hit him with "Even your pal X attempted to flirt with me, i do no longer think of he's a superb pal of yours. Do you have confidence him?" 2. those will make him think of approximately what he did for a 2d. And he will probable improvise something. then you definately say something like "a minimal of i recognize it replace into in basic terms a attempt from you". 3. enable him recognize he will no longer be able to try this, he can have confidence you, and that he would not could desire to attempt you.

For heaven's sake. If you care about the guy, take him shopping. It could be one of the nicest things you ever did for this fellow.

Maybe he's super picky like my bf. He will only wear solid color tee shirts and dickies!! I've tried getting him stuff, but he rarely wears it.
If I were you, I'd just ask him if he wants to go shoppin.

It might be his favorite outfit (shirt, whatever). Or, he could possibly have a mother who does his laundry EVERY NIGHT ----don't laugh, I married someone like this.
