I've been watching a video on http://YouTube.com in which a woman has been insisting for about 10 minutes straight that atheists absolutely despise Jesus.

SO is she right?

That's silly to think that we would despise Jesus. There's hardly enough evidence around that he actually existed to make him worth the trouble. And anyone who wants to believe in him has my blessing.

However, don't presume that because you believe in Jesus that you have the right to impose your laws on the rest of us. Make whatever rules you want regarding membership in your church. But the laws of the country should never inflict punishment for things that are only against the rules if you happen to believe in the same way as Christians (or Muslims, or Jews, or Hindus, etc.).

Is it possible to hate someone or something that does not exist? Hating Jesus makes as much sense as hating the Loch Ness monster. It's just more of the same highly irrational thinking that is so typical among Christians. If I hate anything, it is people who pathetically cling to irrational beliefs, primitive superstitions, and/or archaic religious dogmas.

What reason do I have to hate Jesus? He said alot of things that actually made sense, its not his fault that most of his modern day followers don't practice his teachings very well. Just because I don't believe in his divinity doesn't mean that I hate the guy.

you're fairly no longer making sense. i do not position self assurance in Jesus Christ or 'Allah' so i won't be able to 'hate' them. although I do have many topics with both Christian and Islamic teachings. You accuse: "by the way. i know someplace deep down you've faith in Him, you'll merely seem for any excuse to stay a egocentric existence." ok, so there is advantageous celebration of why I dislike Christianity, it breeds such 'with us or hostile to us' and 'non-believers = corrupt and egocentric" bilge as you merely ably verified. Buddhists and Wiccans don't have a tendency to attempt this in any respect. Christianity and Islam places another perception down at the same time as perfect horribly bigoted and unsafe, sexist, misanthropic and dangerously superstitious, too many times blending faith with politics.

How could I hate something that I don't believe existed? And even if he did, I never even knew him, so why would I hate someone that I don't even know?

Typical braindead, deceitful type. This is not representative of all Christians, but all too common, nonetheless.

Atheists are kinda idiots---NO OFFENSE. They believe he never existed, but they hate him a lot----Does that even make sense?
