You're an adult male going to a Broadway show in NYC, you should wear a tie and jacket .New Yorkers usually opt for a more formal style of dress when attending events such a theater , opera,& classical music concerts than their out of town counterparts do.
Orchestra seats are great. Wine can be purchased at intermission.
If you are not sure of exactly what proper behavior is follow the lead of the natives around you, You can of course telll who they are because they will be dressed better than the non-natives.
One more thing about NYC theater; Do not arrive late .
Have fun

Why does it matter what type of underwear you are wearing? You are going to "Phantom of the Opera" not "Phantom of the Bedroom"!

Broadway shows are formal events. Wear a coat and tie. You may want something like opera glasses and they may have some sovenirs but you are going to the theatre not a yankees game.

just dress nicely. you could wear a suit if you want too, but you could also wear nice jeans and a polo, or even just a nice t-shirt or sweater or long sleeve shirt. NO POPCORN! technically, you're not even supposed to eat or drink in the theatre, but you could get away with it most of the time if you bring your own stuff and put it in a bag. row t is probably decent. there really aren't any truly BAD seats for a show on broadway, because you'd miss to much.

I've seen it. Great show. Tie is not necessary. Dress nicely. Hopefully no one there will know if you're wearing boxers or briefs. Orchestra section is great. There is an intermission when you can get a drink. They might sell CD's.

do not positioned on denims!!!! positioned on something presentable and appropriate for the theater. particularly broadway!! denims are in simple terms an insult at something like this. positioned on a dressy pair of slacks and a shirt or dressy sweater. positioned on a somewhat dressy, appropriate length skirt or gown. positioned on gown shoes, no stiletto heels. something like apartments or smaller heels. do not go bare legged, positioned on pantyhose or tights. positioned on a gown coat in case you have one. not a blazer, yet a gown coat. Like a wool pea coat, as an occasion. in case you're a guy, positioned on a journey and tie!! and gown shoes. it particularly is totally beside the point to positioned on highway clothing right into a theater. some issues, you in basic terms would desire to gown up for.
