My ex and i broke up 4 months ago but we were unresolved til last week. He has a close friend who started liking him and he found himself reciprocating although he doesnt know how much and whether it's just a distraction or for real. He wants time to find out that's why he ended things with us. We both still love each other, he's been totally honest about it with me, and we feel we aren't really over for good. It sucks and everything but i can't help hoping. Apparently neither can he get over me. Are we meant to be?

You never know.

It IS possible to always get back together. It happens all the time.

Sometimes the timing just isn't right at the moment.

DON'T LISTEN TO ANYONE BUT ME! OTHER PEOPLE WILL GIVE YOU STUPID ADVICE THAT WILL END UP WITH NOTHING.

Phew... enough shouting.

What you need to do is really do your best to show you moved on. I know it's hard, but try hanging out with other guys (even date some... I'm serious.) It seems like jealousy is a bad game to play, but it is SOOOOO powerful, it can make nothing turn into love and even cause people to kill those they love.

Don't show that you're doing this on purpose. Just be casual and your ex WILL confront you soon enough. He WILL ask what's going on and you need to be strong and tell him that whatever he wants, he needs to decide (Don't be over-eager either). He may not get back with you at first, but he will be going CRAZY and THINKING OF YOU LIKE MAD. When he does ask you out again (which will have a 85% chance of happening) he will treasure you so much and you really won't have nothing to worry about. AFTER that, THEN you can make up for the jealousy game and be extra sweet for him.

Trust me, this works,
Franklin

This separation may just be a bump in the road that will eventually bring you back together, but even stronger than before. Good luck, I wish you well!

It may not mean that you are "meant to be", but certainly it means you could give it another chance. Just remember why you broke up with each other in the first place.

I'm sorry but I seriously doubt it, you can never go back, it's best not to burn bridges, but found that you can never return to lost loves. It's best to move on. Just remember, never play games with the heart, it will surely back fire.

The sex must of been the only thing that brought them back together. Either that or somebody is afraid of relationships.
