What is the possible advantage to having very thick hair?

Everytime I get my hair cut, the hairdressers always go "Wow, you have such thick hair, you're lucky, etc. etc."

And just to add since I didn't specify, I'm a guy, so as far as hairstyles go does this help me out really?

Well, obviously the advantage is that it's sexy. I mean, these ladies would not say anything about it if it wasn't, you know what I mean? Anyway, I've got thick hair. Possibly the advantage might be that you give off this alpha male pheromone better than your bald counterparts. I mean, hair carries its own scent from all that sweating, seriously!

Let's use a case study as an example. On Seinfeld, George Costanza is the loser of the group, as you know, not to mention he's the only guy who's never won a Golden Globe while everybody else has. This is clearly cause he's a bald guy. Now, you, with your lustrous thick hair is a lucky man. It makes you look young and if you're ever on a sitcom, you'll be that much closer to getting a Golden Globe, being an alpha male and all, than the bald guy.

I'm the same way, I'd say my best physical feature is my hair. Everytime I go to the hair dresser the ladies who cut my hair are always saying "Oh my you have such thick hair!" and "You have such nice hair...girls go crazy over this kind of hair!"

Last time I got it cut, I washed my hair the day of so that I wouldn't have to wash it there and she insisted on washing it anyway. So I said okay and she washed it for like 10 minutes. It was ridiculous. But I wasn't complaining, it felt pretty good :D

At some point later in life, when you look around and every man your age is bald and you still have hair that would make rapunzel envious....maybe then you'll apperciate it?

FYI: I have the same problem and I hate my thick long hair! It's such a hassle to take care of!

First of all your hair won't fall out as fast as other people...... second of all thick hair is totally in ......third of all thick hair is funner to do things with and a lot easier to do things with.....fourth of all some boys like thicker hair better than thin hair

the pros bout having thick hair is that you dont need use products that have volumne in it, you can do so many things with it, and it'll last you for a long time!

So many people loose their hair. You know about plugs, weaves, wigs, transplants, grafting and even spray on hair color to make thin hair look fuller!!!!????
