I always sing Danny Boy and Toora-Loora-Loora. Also, "You'll Be In My Heart" from Disney's Tarzan. Actually, the whole Tarzan soundtrack is great for boys. And I sing all of my favorite Harry Connick Jr songs to my son. Basically, whatever songs you like to sing or listen to are great songs to sing or play for your kids.

For what occasion? Lullabies? Baptism/christening reception? MySpace/web photo album?

My boys' favorite lullaby was Soldier Boy:

Soldier boy, soldier boy,
Where are you going to?
Soldier boy, soldier boy,
In your coat so fine...

"I am riding off to war,
Where the mighty cannons roar,
Where the golden bugles cry--
O lady fair, be mine..."

Soldier boy, soldier boy,
When will you come again?
Soldier boy, soldier boy,
In your coat so fine...

"When the leaves are green again,
When the flowers bloom again,
When there is an end to war,
Then I will come once more..."

Seven times, then seven more,
Leaves turned to green again.
Flowers bloomed every spring,
Just like before...

But there was no end to war,
Seven years, then seven more.
Still, she waited, just the same...
But no one ever came...

Ok, I know it sounds morbid, but it's a beautiful song, and it never failed to help them slip off to dreamland...
