I am not sure that you have asked the right question or maybe you aren't aware but Catholics believe in the New Testament, but they take the old testament figurative and not literal. So you mean Protestants believe every word. Frankly they have been taught the Bible since they were very little and accepting on faith for them is a no brainer, and they don't understand why you don't understand that

Some believe the Bible because they were taught to do so. however, some believe it because its words have literally changed their lives! This amazing book of truth has stood the world's criticisms and is still the best selling book of all time. Why is it the best seller? Simply because it is full of truth and power to change people for the better. It is clearly one of the ways that the God of the universe has chosen to communicate with humanity.

God can not and does not lie. What He said has come true. The greatest thing He did was send, accomplish, a way for us to be forgiven of sin and have eternal life....enter Jesus. Read the Bible, talk to a main denomination minister and see.

Because it's the Living Word. John1:1, In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God.
Then it says The Word became flesh and lived among us. Jesus is the Truth. The Truth lives in us Who have Him.

Becuz, they cannot think for themselves. Somebody gives them a Bible with no question to why they should believe it the Bible. They are just told to belive and everything will be OK!
You pray all day and i will work all day. and lets see who gets a check to eat at the end of the day!

Because it is the Word of God.
I know we can't see Him but we can see His work. It takes no faith to believe in some one or something that you can see, but it takes a lot of faith to believe in something that you can't see.
Try reading the Bible for your self sometime.

Because they don't talk to God. If they did, they'd never believe God sent bears to tear 42 children to bits for calling Isaiah a bald old coot. They'd never believe God would choose one people as "The Chosen People" and that everyone else was just screwed. They'd never believe that God would create billions of souls he knew in advance he would damn to eternal torment. If they talked to God, they would cherish all beings, as he does.

The Bible is my Lord's life manual for me/us. God communicates to us through His Word. We need to let Holy Spirit to guide us.
