I am 29 years old and it seems like every time I start to have a (normal) life things ALWAYS come up and bring me down, NO MATTER WHAT. I am starting to think that my life is just meant to be hell, My mother has cancer, I have several health problems, I know this next part will seem like bull but this is true, Every time I start a new job something happens, either I get sick with the flu or the stomach flu, or whatever, Its NOT normal that every time I start a job BOTH my cars break down at the same time!!! Or I get VERY VERY sick. This might sound wacked but when I was 17 a pastor of a church called me out of the audience and told me that god wants me to preach the word of god and become a pastor. Could this possibly have anything to do with it? I have to admit my life sucks. I sometimes wish that I was never born just so I wouldnt have to deal with my health issues and the HELL that I deal with EVERY DAY. Please any answers will help. What do I do? I am starting to hate life.

I thank ALL of you for your answers! I did go see a doctor many years ago and was told that I was socially maladjusted and I have to add that I (had) sever anxiety and panic attacks for years but I found a way to beat them so I really dont have a problem with them now. When I say that I get sick before a job I mean I get sick for weeks, or the 2 cars break down and when I say break down it isnt a flat tire its major :o) I truely think that my life is just cursed. I read that someone put basically " you are what you think" I totally agree but if you seen the hell that I have to deal with everyday you would think I am cursed by satan himself. I mean I just feel that life isnt for me, I am
-NOT- saying that I am thinking about killing myself but I am saying I wish I was never born. I have really no family except my mom that was told she has cancer and she is very sick. I wish I could talk to some1 here that knows what I am dealing with. A dr. told me years ago I will be ok, he's wrong!

Firstly, sorry to hear about ur mom's cancer...hope she pulls through... i guess u need to support her since it's a bigger battle.
Secondly, get practical...get a complete medical check up done..will help rule out anything serious...Thirdly don't let the pastor incident play on ur mind...we all have our moments of weaknessess & wish things in the past should have been done differently..so its normal. Importantly ; keep tabs on the pattern of ur thinking...too much negative thinking would only put down u down and give undue weightage to minor incidences. Lastly, everything u start thinking negatively about urself...count ur blessings....there r a number of people less fortunate than u who face difficulties which r much bigger .. sounds philosophical...but its true...(try this section of yahoo answers itself if u don't believe me)

Just remember everyone is put on earth for a reason. I think you just haven't figured yours out yet. Some people never do. I know how you feel about it all coming at once and feeling even worse than before. There's so much I want to say to you but there isn't enough space. Plus it would be nice to ask you questions. Do you have friends that can help you? One day it will get better but remember you are the only one incontrol of that. With the problems about getting sick and loosing your jobs; maybe you should tell them in the interview that you have this problem (not to the extent of it) and assure them that it only happens in the beganing of getting a job. Ahhhh there's so much to say I'm sorry if this is all jumbled up. I wish you the best of luck and a happy, calm life.

Make sure you eat right and stay fit, number 1 and 2 reasons why I am depressed. i was always down alittle but the last 14 months I was not sleeping much, eating fast food and no fruits and veg, and not getting out and doing stuff. I worked and thats about it. I have noticed in the last 2 months a small change, as I want to be around and do stuff in the future. I know what you mean about like bitting you in the azz. I get ahead financially and then i fall right back with an illness. It has happened since I got out of school, save up money to invest or whatever and blow it on medical reasons that I bring on myself. I have realized crap happens and there will be better days ahead. As far as job wise I know depression is linked to panic and anxiety attacks maybe thats what is getting you worked up.

You are suffering from depression - that's why you have negative cognitions going in your head - which basically means, you see only the negative things that do occur to you, and not the things which are actually positive.
You gotta understand that life has its' own share of problems and happiness - and in your case, I'm sorry to say, it's the problem stage, but eventually, you will experience happiness when the time for you comes.
As of now, the thing to do is to consult a psychologist or a psychiatrist so he will be able to perform psychoanalysis on you and prescribe you a medication so as to lessen your depressive thoughts. Ask also for an opinion from a pastor or something.
Also, you need a support group on depression - your psychiatrist or local Church can refer you to one.
Good luck!

You answered your own question of why your life sucks. You are suffering from self-induced guilt. You must be a somewhat serious believer of your religion and now feel that in refusing the suggested (mind you, suggested) path offered by your pastor earlier, that has affected your consciousness to the point that you believe in failure only because you shunned God. Hey, when God wants you, He'll call you Himself. Not some man created by Him. Get over it. By experiencing this side of life for awhile, now you can help others find the bright side of life, as soon as you find it. Bet you will too.

You might have probelms such as depression. My suggestion to you would be to visit a doctor and/or psychiatrist. Sometimes people do get sick like that before jobs and other stressful events because there is some psychological reason behind them. I can't tell you that it's the pastor's "curse", though...

WHAT? YOU HATE LIFE? Well, your life does sounds sh**, but you gotta look on the brighter side of things! God created you, and it's up to you of whether to enjoy your life or hate it. If you really think your life sucks, then what's the point of living? (Sorry I'm not trying to critisise you, I've just had a bad day, but hey, I still think life is beautiful!)
Life is what you make it. Always has been, always will be.
Good luck!

first of all, thet appropriate element you're able to do is learn how to love your self, and for who you're interior. no longer which you may desire to be happy with the "undesirable lady" which you have been, yet your self self assurance gets decrease every time you place your self down. attempt giving your self placed-ups, and then residing as much as those placed-united statestha tyou tell your self. with the intention to make acquaintances who rather such as you, be your self. become in touch with issues at your college which you take excitement in, refer to 3 people, smile plenty, and basically instruct tha tyou're valuable with your self, adn that on my own could desire to help you to fulfill a pair new people. shop working, you will locate some acquaintances. i will assure you.

Sounds like to me that you are not doing what
God wants you to do. Therefore He "allows" you to experience
some unplesant things. To help you get back on track. Change your way of thinking. If you think your life sucks then guess what. Your life will suck. It could be the reason jobs aren't working for you because God is saying. "You are about your business, when will you be about My business."
Peace and Blessings.
