Yes, it certainly could be depression. What you describe sounds like depression. Whatever it is, it isn't good for you to feel like this, and you need to see someone. As soon as you can, have a serious discussion with your parents or another adult close to you who will help you get to a doctor quickly and have your situation evaluated. Be confident that there are many things that can be done to help you, including new medications that are really effective and have very few side effects. Please don't wait for things to get worse before you ask for help. You'll be amazed how wonderful it will feel to have this empty, dark feeling lifted from you, and then you'll be able to enjoy this special time of your life. Whatever you do, don't ignore this feeling and hope it will go away. Reach out and get some help. Let us know how you're doing - we'll be thinking of you.

It is depression. You're best to see a doctor and i mean it. Im suffering from dep. too. Although you're too young to get deprest, then again im not sure if dep. has a age limit. Believe me sweet heart, i understand what you're talking about, i have no desire to start the day, staying in bed is always tempting and usualy i start the day but not wanting any thing or any one. As matter of fact, i hate every moving thing, from myself til end of the world! no stamina what's so ever, til i take some medicin to start the day, which usualy staying angry through out the day. I even cut out my family and friends. All alone, which is not good but i can not see any one. There are lot more but rather to stop, the reason im telling you all this is that, first you know that i understan you and 2nd, before you're getting any worse, like me!, get some help, talk to your parents about it. Find out the reasons of being depresss about and try to fix it and go out more, do some activity. It's important that you attend the stuff you're interested, like swiming, walking or what ever that gives you a boost. Stay positive and remember you're just 16 and you're having a long road ahead of you. Trust me, in your case tomorow will be diferent. In case if you're wondering, how come i do not follow my own saying, well my situation is a bit different, im 47, lots of mistaks in life and incidents and stuff like that, but im trying and i am looking forward for a better day, so should you. GOOD LUCK

Quite possibly it could. Speak with your doctor if you think this is the case. At 16, your body is still going thru alot of changes. Your hormones are trying to get in whack and can lead you to feel all sluggish and depressed. If these feeling persist for more than 2 weeks then definately get checked out by your doctor. Also see if you feel this way the week leading up to your period. That might also be your culprit.

I have been suffering depression for 10 years, and you have some of the classic symptoms.. You are young and with early treatment walk away unscathed from this with early treatment.. I suggest seeing a counsellor as soon as possible... Or a doctor as there are drugs to help you mentally cope with it as you get to the core of what's making you depressed... Best Wishes , Love and Light.... Blessed Be )O(

To me it sounds like that you need a BANG on your head. I'll do that for you: B-A-N-G ........ better now? Ok, that was a little not-so-funny joke of mine. Well, I hope you're feeling a little better now.
